Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In the bowl of a food processor
combine flour, sugar, and baking powder, and pulse or mix to
incorporate. Add lemon zest and butter, and pulse on and off,
until mixture is pale yellow and the consistency of fine meal
Transfer mixture to a large bowl and stir in ginger. Make a well
in the center and pour in the cream. Using one hand, draw in the
dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Wash and dry your hands and dust them with flour. Turn dough out
onto a lightly floured work surfac and gently knead it a few
times to gather it into a ball. Roll or pat dough into a circle
about 3/4 inch thick. Cut out the circles, cutting as closely
together as possible and keeping the trimmings intact. Gather
scraps and press pieces back together, and cut out remaining
dough. Place scones 1" apart on parchment-lined baking sheet
Brush tops with remaining cream. Bake 12-16 minutes.

House Policy

My small country B&B has two guest rooms with private baths. Bullfrog Pond is open year round. For your relaxation there are a TV, VCR and DVD and a small library of movies available, as well as a few board games and puzzles. Wireless internet is now available for my guests.
Bullfrog Pond B&B does have a pond with various species of frogs, including the Bullfrogs, as well as a huge snapping turtle who has been known to escape his watery home and wander into the neighborhood!
The B&B is located in the scenic Finger Lakes Region of New York State. Tourists and business visitors alike find their relaxation here at the end of a busy day spent at Cornell University or Ithaca College campuses.
Enjoy hiking in nearby Robert H. Treman State Park, kayaking on Cayuga Lake, visiting the Museum of the Earth, sipping our local wines on the Cayuga Wine Trail and Seneca Wine Trail or any of the many things available to do or visit. See Things to Do for many more suggestions.

The collection of quilts--both on guest beds and hung on walls--are displayed throughout the B&B. It is hoped you will enjoy them as much as I do.

Special dietary needs (i.e. vegetarian, vegan, glucose intolerance; some special diets) may be accommodated with a little advance notice. Please let me know if you have any food allergies or foods that you simply do not like or eat.
